Anatomy of the Drive<\/h3>\n

The EVER-POWER cutterbar gearbox serves as the critical junction between the PTO shaft and the mower bed (cutterbar). It sits at the medial end of the mower, taking the 540 RPM vertical or horizontal drive and converting it into the high-speed rotational energy needed for the disc gears. Inside, a pair of precision-lapped spiral bevel gears turns the power 90 degrees while simultaneously increasing speed to drive the spur gears located within the oil-filled cutterbar bed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The “Shear-Hub” Protection<\/h3>\n

One of the most frequent failures we observed in the Netherlands was catastrophic gear damage when a mower hit a boundary marker or hidden stone. Our design integrates a calculated failure point on the output shaft keyway. In the event of an impact load exceeding 1800 Nm, the key shears, effectively decoupling the gearbox from the cutterbar inertia. This $5 part sacrifice saves the $800 gearbox and protects the tractor’s PTO clutch.<\/p>\n
