EP\u2019 High Performance Worm Gear Systems

may have single or multiple threads (known as starts). With each revolution, a single-start worm will maneuver the associated worm wheel by one tooth; worms with multiple begins will maneuver the mating worm gear a corresponding amount of teeth with each revolution. (e.g., a 2-begin worm will move the worm wheel two the teeth per revolution.)<\/p>\n
Standard worm gear worm wheels feature straight, helical-cut teeth and offer only 1 point of connection with the worm. EP presents \u201cthroated\u201d worm tires with curved, helical-cut the teeth whose curves match the radius of the worm itself.
