ベベルギアボックスでは、第2軸は互いに接続された2本の軸から構成されています。一方の軸はベアリングを介してハウジング3の外周面に取り付けられ、もう一方の軸はギアハウジング内に突出するフランジを備えています。第2軸はベアリングを介してギアハウジングとフランジに取り付けられています。このように取り付けられることで、ベベルギアがスムーズに回転できるようになります。
