IP65-Rated Sealing System

Operating Principle

The HC-RC30-193 employs a single-stage spiral bevel gear arrangement, redirecting rotational input from a tractor PTO shaft by exactly 90 degrees. The 1:1.93 speed-increasing ratio means that at the standard UK PTO speed of 540 rpm, the output shaft turns at approximately 1,042 rpm — well matched to cleaning star and chopper rotor assemblies on root crop harvesters. Spiral bevel teeth are ground-finished to DIN 6 accuracy, distributing load progressively across the face width rather than concentrating it at a single contact point, which is why field service intervals on this model consistently exceed industry averages.

Materials Used

Gear blanks are machined from 20CrMnTi case-hardening alloy steel, carburised to a surface hardness of 58–62 HRC while maintaining a tough, ductile core. The housing is produced from GG25 grey cast iron with ribbed external geometry for enhanced heat dissipation during prolonged continuous running. Bearings are sourced from tier-one European suppliers meeting ISO 492 tolerances. The oil-bath lubrication system uses SAE 90 gear oil with a sealed fill-and-drain arrangement, enabling clean scheduled oil changes without removing the unit from the implement frame.
